REVIEW OF “AN EVENING WITH MOZART” ON 17 March 2018

The whole concert was great, and the soprano section was superb.
It was absolutely beautiful and was wonderful to listen to. It would have been lovely to see more people, but it was beautiful.
My first PWCS concert – and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you all.
Enjoyed the concert very much. Loved the “Benedictus” – really lovely. The bass section of the orchestra was perhaps a bit to string – fewer Cellos? I would have liked the work in Latin. But a great evening. Thank you.
It was a stunning performance, I wish it had been better advertised so that more people could have heard it.
A wonderful performance of one of my favourite pieces. The huge entrances really packed a punch. Good diction and a fair amount of light and shade – not always easy when singing with a substantial orchestra.
When one could hear the choir, it was still the high standard I would expect. The orchestra was so loud to begin with, hence I did not hear “Requiem”. Excellent soloists. Opening second half – much improved. Orchestra quieter.
I enjoyed it greatly and would come to a future performance
Orchestra in general was too loud with choir and in particular the brass section drowned the singers.
Really enjoyed the concert. Delivered an excellent and challenging programme wonderfully.
Superb and thank you.
Hugely enjoyable – sublime music. Some balance problems – bass sounds : several cellos and bass against only four first violins!? Could do with double that number. Space problems admittedly. Choir sometimes obliterated by orchestra volume. Good soloists, especially Bass.
Fabulous performance, obviously well-rehearsed. Orchestra a little overpowering at times, but excellent. Soprano vocalist exceptional. Something a little lighter for summer maybe?
